Bench approached us to investigate ways to enhance the lighting in their Manchester Trafford store as the store was too dim and was not attracting customers into store. We surveyed the store and issued a report on the current lighting and identified cost effective solutions to increase the light level including increasing the lumens per watt, and using different colour temperature lamps to improve the colour rendering of the merchandise. As a result we switched low output lamps for high output, repositioned existing lighting fixtures, installed new spot lights to highlight focal points in store and created 2 bespoke circular lighting features and positioned one at the front and one at the rear of the store resulting in increased lighting levels throughout the store and much brighter and inviting environment, the project was completed within 3 weeks from the initial brief including installation. The customer was extremely happy with the result and trade immediately improved as a direct consequence.
