Retail fun

With spring around the corner and the sun shining we forget about the restrictions of spending from our pockets and look at the windows across London that are inspiring us to look, buy and be inspired.
Animals, colour and theatre are playing a big part in window displays. Consumers are attracted to the use of brightly coloured props, playfulness and simple styling or product placement. Go forth the fun factor that is encouraging us to shop!!!

‘Blow up’ turtles showcase and wear a selection of sunglasses from Liberty, dogs made from denim are being ‘walked’ by mannequins styled in denim at Oasis. Kurt Geiger replaces the ‘walk the dogs’ with a display of ‘walking the shoes’ in this avant garde window display.

The fun has not stopped at Selfridges where the windows are a ‘funfair’ of colour, symmetry and vibrancy showcasing top designers in theatrical window sets. Cardboard and vinyl production is used with graphic design and illustrations mixing flamingos with neon rainbows, rubber ducks and roller coasters with illustrative animal historians.

A Modern graphic Bauhaus concept drives big statements at Uniqlo - a collection of denim in every colour in the rainbow sits alongside mannequins with colourful pyramid heads rotating creating mass impact.

This theme is also illustrated on the front of Gaps Flagship store with a huge ‘colour’ pixle-ated and translucent vinyl application to the facade of the building – when the lights are on this glows for attention!

The Iladro backdrop of green leaves and anatomical shapes really shows off the white collection and looks very modern.
