Unlucky for some but not for us hopefully, the 13th installment of our We Heart This blog... The above image is self explanatory. Although better functioning products may exist, in todays market place, products need to speak of a life style and make a comment on the social status of the owner.
This is an interactive installation by Yayoi Kusama Titled “The Obliteration Room”. The project started out as a blank house interior for children that visit to cover with colourful sticker dots. Knowing how much children love playing with stickers it would have been great to see how this project took shape from the start and to try and work out why particular stickers per positioned in a particular place by the child. This is a great piece of psychological art with interesting end results.
Saw this at the Designer of the Year exhibition that is currently on at the London Design Museum. It is called Shade and is by Simon Heijdens and is inspired by the shimmering shadows that are created by the leaves on a tree blowing in the wind. The effect is mesmerising and strangely peaceful.
