Are you creative, retail minded, passionate and looking to work in a fast moving, dynamic and unique studio here in sunny Watford? We are looking for a character to join our success story who can bring their ideas and experience to our pages. Have you worked in retail before? That would be ideal, but not necessarily essential, though you will be working on retail based projects, from window displays and instore props, to visual merchandising focal points for a wide range of high street and luxury brands.

The Details
3-4 month initially, with definite possibility of a permanent position
Working on: Window displays, VM ideas, props, display solutions
Experienced in:
Ideally 2-3 yrs experience in Visual Merchandising, photoshop visuals/renderings, window displays, passion, props, retail design, mannequins, ambition
Computer Stuff
Definitely need: Photoshop, MS Office
Would be nice: Illustrator, 3DS Max
The money bit:

Are you looking for a new opportunity? Experienced in shopfitting buyer and procurement? Looking for a fresh experience in a passionate and dynamic team environment? SFD are eagerly looking for an Experienced Shopfitting Buyer required to join a busy and proactive team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for efficient and cost effective purchasing of bespoke joinery and metal work fixtures, within the required timescale.
The key responsibilities and aims of this role will include:-
- Source and Purchase bespoke Joinery and Metal work fixtures for projects.
- Ensure that all information on project brief has been captured.
- Manage projects effectively with the ability to identify any concerns before they arise and communicate these with the Purchasing Manager.
- Update Project Log daily and maintain clear communication to all departments, ensuring smooth completion of projects.
- Manage multi supplier projects through experience and knowledge within industry.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Deliver competitive costs, within required timescale.
- Achieve quarterly team cost savings against advised target.
- Ensure suppliers conform with service level agreements.
- Keep log sheets up to date.
- Carry out General Administration duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous Purchasing Experience within the Shopfitting Industry a must have.
- Ability to read and understand Technical Drawings.
- Good sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and numerical skills.
- Excellent methodical/organisation skills.
- Computer Literate - Experience on Sage would be advantageous.
